We will guide you step by step on making a showstopping celebration cake! Take home stunning masterpiece to share with your family and friends. 

This is a 2-part workshop scheduled for Wednesday, March 7th 2018 & Thursday, March 8th 2018 from 7:00 p.m. - 9:30 p.m. 


Session 1: Wednesday, March  7th 2018

  • Sketch and plan your cake design

  • Enjoy a demonstration on how to crumb coat a cake

  • Assemble and crumb coat your own cake

  • Enjoy a demonstration on how to add the final layer of icing to your cake 

  • Enjoy a demonstration on how to color fondant and make a bow 

  • Create your own fondant decorations 

Session 2: Thursday, March 8th 2018

  • Enjoy a demonstration on how to cover a round cake with fondant

  • Color your own fondant and coat your cake

  • Enjoy a demonstration on assembling a fondant bow and attaching decorations to your cake

  • Apply decorations to your own cake and add the final details

What Do I Bring to Class?

Nothing! Just bring yourself and the enthusiasm to learn something new in the kitchen! The College will provide all the necessary tools for students to use while they're in class.



This course is held in the kitchens of the historical Allison Mansion at 4207 Walnut Street, Philadelphia, PA 19104. Guests are welcome to use our FREE gated parking lot directly off of Walnut Street between 42nd and 43rd Streets. Parking is available on a first come, first served basis. Please enter the main entrance to be directed to your course by a College representative.
